Kissed likely to prevail in Investec Oaks (Group 1) (Fillies)
Kissed has a solid chance of winning the Investec Oaks (Group 1) (Fillies) at Epsom in England on Friday, June 1, 2012. A cash prize of £207,842 will be awarded to the winner of the class-1 race.
Speed will not matter much in the race, as the overall distance to cover will be 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 10 yards. A total of 14 runners have lined up for action at Epsom and their names are as follows: Maybe, The Fugue, Vow, Kissed, Kailani, Colima, Shirocco
Star, Coquet, Betterbetterbetter, Twirl, Was, Devotion, Toptempo and Nayarra.
There is a possibility that Toptempo might miss out on action today. She is a decent runner, but would not have been amongst the favourites, as she has never managed to win any event until now.
However, Kissed seems to have the tools to deliver a strong show at Epsom, as she has in fabulous form at the moment. She has got an excellent stamina and will definitely fight at the front today.
The three-year-old filly does not have much experience, as she has entered just a couple of races. However, her performances in them have been exceptional, thus it will be a clever ideal to place bets in her favour.
The A. P. O'Brien’s trainee has participated in a couple of events and has maintained a 100 percent winning record. She will be chasing a hat-trick of victories today, but will have to overcome the challenge of some very skilful runners.
In her most recent run, Kissed was absolutely phenomenal, as she did not allow anyone else to come closer, winning by eight and a half lengths. She will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Ryan Moore, who has earned numerous victories at this level at a decent
strike rate.
Despite having a very good record, Kissed cannot be ensured of a victory at Epsom, as there are some quality runners ready to give her a fight at the front. One of those participants is, Vow.
The three-year-old filly is as talented as any other runner in this race and will definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters.
Things seem to be pretty interesting in this race, as Maybe and The Fugue will also be fighting for the top three positions.
