Kitchen Aid 525 Watt Mixer (Model KP2671XWH)

Question

I was mixing some pizza dough and the mixer overheated. I turned it off and it won't start back up. I opened it up and nothing looks toasted on the inside. It has a small electronics board and I was thinking about ordering the board, but it cost $50...anything else I could try?The mixer has sat unplugged for several days now and it won't start back up...I paid a lot of money for this just a couple years ago and it is a mainstay in our kitchen...
