The last people who lived in our rental property must have cooked greasy food every day as the kitchen floor is very dirty and greasy.

How to clean this? It is very dirty/greasy. What products will get rid of this extreme dirt/grease?

  1. Dawn dish soap or goo b gone

  2. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It cuts SO many grimy things.  I use it on our floor when it gets bad.  It's great at cleaning tile and grout, too.  Hey, it's great at cleaning almost everything!

  3. I find that Oxi-Clean with a tiny bit of Orange Clean degreaser does a fantastic job.....but do a 3'x3' area at a time, then rinse well, to make the job easier.

  4. You don't mention what kind of floor it is.

You coult try very hot water along with ammonia mixed in.

  5. wash it with white wine vinegar as best as you can. then set some (youll need a lot) baking soda down on the greasiest parts. give it a couple hours to do its thing.. sweep it up and mop once more with white wine vinegar. ive had the same problem and this is effective.

  6. I got a stripping chemical from Lowell- I used it on linoleum and it worked great.  It strips off any dirt and grime (even the tough stuff) quick and fast.  Then you let it dry- and put 2 coats of rewaxer/polish on it.  The floor look brand new.  You have to be careful with the stripper- wear gloves and etc. but it was pretty easy to use.

It's also nice because it gets the dirt out of the cracks and any scratches and then the waxing stuff fills in any scratches so you don't have problems with dirt getting stuck in them later.

  7. try some vinegar and water

if it is very grease do 50/50

it should cut right through the grease

my mom does this to our floor but she does it every week so she just puts a little vinegar

    ps our floor is marble

    good luck
