Question:

Kitchen sink faucet problem ?

I turn on the cold and hot water faucets separately and very little water comes out but, when I use the sprayer, everything works fine. I have an attached aerator that threads on the end but nevertheless, when I took it off, the same very little amount of water came out so I wonder if the problem may be in the water lines or something ???? The bathroom sink and tub work just fine. Any advice is appreciated....Thanks....

  1. Do you have hard water?

Alot of times you can funky growths (minireals maybe?) inside the stainless steel.

Good way to check is locate the water shutoff under sink.

    Verify it works!

    Turn of water

Unconnect hose under sink from the faucet, turn on water and measure output....

You can do the measurement vs time, ie: gallons per minute is fairly standard...

  2. CK THE AIREATOR.

  3. get another faucet

  4. If the sprayer has enough water and the aerator seems clean ~ my thought is: there is something blocking the water flow through the spigot.  I would (if able) disconnect the spigot and see if there is something in there.  The lines should be fine if the sprayer has enough water.

  5. On the end of your faucet there is an aerator. This will s***w off counterclockwise. Remove it with the stopper in sink. Pay attention as to how the washers inside come out. You will find rust or trash filling the tiny holes, clean them out and s***w it back on and enjoy water!

  6. On faucets with a sprayer there is a sometimes a diverter below the spout that blocks the water from the spout while using the sprayer.  Maybe it's got sediment build up.
