  1. Kittens at four weeks old are still too young to have flea collars and stuff such as front line.

The best you can do is give the kitten a bath in Dawn dish washing soap. This will kill the fleas but won't harm the kitten. I've given bathes to kittens as young as 13 days old. It kills the fleas but won't harm the kitten.

Give the kitten a bath in dawn about three times, then wash it down real well with water to get the soap out.

While the kitten is still wet take a flea comb and scrap the rest of the fleas off.

When done, dry the kitten real well with a towel so it won't get too cold.

    Good luck!

  2. It is not safe to treat them with pesticides, but since fleas can cause anemia quickly in tiny kittens, it is important to get rid of them by bathing them and using a flea comb.  I would recommend going through a veterinarian for anything else, because cats are highly sensitive to flea products.

  3. No. Four weeks is too early to expose the kittens to any type of toxins. Please call you vet and she what he/she recommends. You'll have to tolerate the fleas for several more weeks.
