  1. yes

  2. they say wait till the kitten is 8 weeks.I had a litter and i kept them till they were 12 weeks. i was able to neuter them! and they had all the shots. it was better for the kittens. They did not need to worry about them! it was taken care of. all they had to do was take them home!

  3. I adopted my cat when she was 3 weeks old. Yes, a little young I know, but momma had started rejecting her and she was already starting to eat solid food. At that early of an age momma hadn't taught her how to be social. I had to teach her how to use the litter box, a very messy job. I would suggest to leave the kitten with the momma until it has been weaned from the nipple at least. If momma has already started weaning, and you are ready to adopt it, start the kitten on soft food until it has adjusted to living with you and then slowly start introducing the hard food. That is unless you are planning on keeping the kitten on soft food. I would also suggest supplements if the kitten isn't steadily gaining weight.

  4. yes but if the kitten doesn't eat or drink normally and u want to still keep it go to a pet store and buy kitten milk NOT regular unless u want it to have pooping problems lol i have experience

  5. Not really, unless the situation is an emergency.  Most kittens do best when they stay with Mom and siblings until they are about 12 weeks of age.  Lots of time to bond and learn all Mom has to teach them.  An older kitten is more confident and will adjust quickly to a new home.  And, your kitten is less likely to have health problems.  The older kitten is already eating solid food and should have been litter box trained by Mom.

Good Luck and don't forget to set up an appointment for inoculations and set up the best time for spay/neuter.

  6. absolutely not, kittens need to be with their mother and siblings ABSOLUTE MINIMUM 10 weeks 12 weeks is better.  the mother has to teach them how to be a cat, litter box habits, grooming habits, and other things that the mom needs to each them especially the social skills.

  7. yes as long as they are weaned off of milk and are eating and drinking normally they should be ok.

  8. Well, I got a wee kitten as a first time buyer about 8 weeks ago and was told he was 9 weeks old. I though - oooh, lovely. Turns out, when I actually was told the date of birth, he was only 7. I'd been told kittens should never leave their mothers so early but I have to say he's been totally fine.

Lovely, in fact. He's not been sucking me or engaging in any behaviour associated with too early weaning.  I think it depends on the kitten.  If you think he's ready he probably is.

  9. You should try to wait till it is 8 weeks.

  10. yes it is as long as it eat reagular kitten if not then it is usually still eating off the mom. so once it is not eating milk and stuff then it is good and old enough.
