my kitten about 2 month old has watery blood running out her a**s which also seems to be sticking out a little.

besides that it looks like her skin ripped open a little from the a**s to the tail. she is using the litter box more frequently but i didn't see no worms or blood in her f***s. could that be worms??

  1. I would say take her to the vet.

  2. No that does not sound like worms.  I would get your kitten in as soon as possible to the vet.  That isn't a common thing and should be looked at to make sure she'll be ok.

  3. That doesn't sound like worms to me, you can usually see them in the f***s. Bloody discharge is a sign of Parvo however so I would strongly suggest getting your kitten in to a Vet as soon as possible.

  4. -Just to let you know, cats cannot get Parvo. It is strictly a canine disease. -

Anyhow, a trip to the vet would be wise. Sign of worms is the obvious, seeing them. But also, some other common signs are eating but not gaining weight, vomiting and diarrhea.

Since your kitten is 8 weeks, she needs to be dewormed anyways, so you need to take her to the vet regardless.

Good luck to you and your kitten!

EDIT - Forgot to add that what cats CAN get is FPV or "feline panleukopenia virus", also known as distemper. Which is from the parvovirus family. But like I said, it's not canine parvo.

  5. I'm sorry to say but it sounds like Parvo to me.

Take her to the vet and sometimes if it is caught early enough it can be cured.

    Good luck!

The cat version of parvo is called feline panleukopenia.

  6. I would take her to the vet asap!!

and btw, Stephanie is incorrect, cats can also get parvo:

    Feline Parvo (Panleukopenia Virus)

This virus is similar in nature to the dog's parvo virus, however is only infectious to cats.  Most cats affected are young and unvaccinated.  In vaccinated cats, the disease is virtually non-existent.

  7. I would take it to the vet NOW...
