Kitten with orange bugs?

Question

i have a kitten and it is covered in orange bugs how do I get rid of them? oh by the way the kitten is not that old. I am not sure of the exact age because It just kinda appeared around my house and so we are taking care of it. I know it came from my neighbors barn and they have a bunch of cats(not a very healthy situation). But any way how do I help him and get rid of them?

I'm not sure what orange bugs would be?  I don't think I've ever seen orange bugs on an animal.  If you have a better idea of what it is.. we might be able to help you a little more.  Are you sure it isn't maggots?  Is it more like bugs or worms?
