  1. Maybe because there was just 4 kittens he has developed earlier.

    Congrats on the babies :)

  2. Shorthair kittens begin to open their eyes at 5-8 days. Longhair kittens do not open their eyes until 10-14 days. Isn't that strange? So if some of your kittens don't have their eyes open yet, but the others do, it may be because they are longhaired. All kittens' eyes are beautiful deep orbs of blue at first. They will look like this until the kittens are three weeks old. Then the iris and pupil will form and the kitten's permanent eye colors will slowly emerge. At first, although the eyes are open, the kittens are still almost completely blind.

  3. that is the normal time span but some open early and some a little later, keep an eye on it for discharge etc

  4. Some kitten eyes can start to open as early as 2 days. But, in general I've found that it usually happens between 4 and 7 days rather than 7-14. So, it's nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on the kitten to make sure the eye is nice and clean. If it were a case where a kitten hadn't opened it's eyes by 14 days, that's when I'd be more concerned.

Enjoy every moment as they go through so many cute phases in their first month :)

  5. Yeah its normal. he/she is just developing quicker.
