  1. soft rag with warm water

  2. yes, just a cotton wool ball used with some luke warm water - will free the stickyness round the eye no problems.

  3. kittens are prone to getting sticky eyes, it happens all the time.

i would recommend that you clean it with some cotton wool and luke warm water. If it doesn't clear up in a few days, ask your vet for some eye cream. Fucilthalmic eye cream is the best because it has the best and most recently developed antibiotic in it. You may however be given aureomycin cream which is just as effective :-)

    hope your problem is resolved

  4. but i would still call the vet

  5. Use a cotton wool ball, not bud, with a little warm water, it's probably just sleep in his eye:)

  6. its normal for one eye to completly open and not the other..you may clean it if you want but even if you dont it will open up on its own..i have a litter of kittens right now that i took in..some have their eyes wide open one has one eye open and the other eye is part open...also i noticed in my kiitens that sometimes their eyes look fully open then they close them back up just a little

  7. cotton ball or wash cloth and warm water will help it if it has sticky green in the eye, other than that the eye will open up soon. some eyes open a little slower and if they get cold in them they can open and close.  I'd keep cleaning it several times a day and after a few days it will open. I've had to do this with several litters. Good luck to ya!

  8. you can clean it with cotton wool and luke warm water but it could be conjunctivitis so get them to the vets and they'll give you some cream

  9. Cotton wool bud and milk.

  10. One of my kittens had a bit of a sticky eye at that age too, I just cleaned it a bit with a warm, damp cotton wool bud, which helped. The mother will probably clean it if you don't, anyway. I don't think there's a problem at all. :)

  11. wouldn't touch the eye or around it with any form of cotton wool. the reason being is that the fibres in the cotton wool could get into the eye and make things worse for the kitten.

Kittens eyes do often open then  shut again .. your kitten most probably has a sticky eye.. you can clean the eye with gauze soaked in warm boiled water. use different gauze for each eye..

Failing that  go to the chemist and get some chloromycetine (chloramphenicol) eye drops .. these can be safely used on cats / kittens.. one drop into each eye twice a day.
