  1. I heard somewhere on here that petfinder.com will help you find shelters and such in your area.  Most adoptions are not free.  If you find a place that is free, you should at least give a donation.  Most places, like the SPCA, are underfunded and they depend on adoption fees to help save other animals.

  2. Look on the bulletin boards of your local groceries.  Since it is almost 11 weeks into kitten season, you may find some offerings there. Unfortunately, such kittens haven't been vetted.

The best place to find kittens at this time of year is either your local shelter or your vet.  Many vets take in litters and place them.  That way you know your kitten is healthy and has had shots and worming.  If anything goes wrong, the clinic will accept the animal back and find you another.  That happened to us with a sweet kitty that had hip displasia. Look for a VCA animal hospital.  They give reduced vaccinations one morning a week, have extended hours, and do not require appointments.  That's good because kittens, like kids, never get sick when it's convenient.

  3. Try your local SPCA, there is a fee for shots, etc. which your would have to have done anyway. Also, this way you'll know he's in pretty good health. For Free kittens, check want ads, ads at the grocery and laundromats. Talk with friends or place your own ad.

  4. There's no such thing as a free kitten. If you do get one for no initial charge, you will be faced with hundreds of dollars of vet fees over the next couple of months to cover health checks, vaccinations, neuter, etc. The fee charged by shelters covers all of these for a fraction of the cost.

So, unless you have dishonorable intentions, save a life and rescue a kitten.

  5. it worries me a lot that you are wanting FREE kittens, what do you plan to do to these poor kittens.  or if you can't afford the small adoption fee you probably can't afford to provide Good Quality food etc.

  6. There arent really freek kittens but If you go to a local petsmart you can get one or if you go to petfinder.com and search on the side ur postal code and put kitten and everything that would work but if you have a petsmart by you they have kittens all the time.
