Kitty Litter for Spayed Cat...

Question

Well My Cat is still at the vet so i haven't gotten aftercare instructions yet but i heard you can't use cat litter for a recently spayed cat cuz it can cause irritation. What should i use???

Your vet will be sure to tell you what you should be using for litter.  Or you can call before you bring her home and ask.  

PetSmart sells a litter called "Yesterdays News" and it's pellets of recycled newspaper and its formulated for post surgical felines.  It works great and is not too expensive.

Shredded newspaper. Run it through a shredder or just cut into little bits. Put it in the regular litter box that has been dumped and rinsed with water ( to get all the bits of litter out) but NOT soap. You want it to smell like he has peed there before. That will help him go in the shredded papers.
