Kitty Litter for Spayed Cat...

Well My Cat is still at the vet so i haven't gotten aftercare instructions yet but i heard you can't use cat litter for a recently spayed cat cuz it can cause irritation. What should i use???

  1. Your vet will be sure to tell you what you should be using for litter.  Or you can call before you bring her home and ask.  

    PetSmart sells a litter called "Yesterdays News" and it's pellets of recycled newspaper and its formulated for post surgical felines.  It works great and is not too expensive.

  2. Shredded newspaper. Run it through a shredder or just cut into little bits. Put it in the regular litter box that has been dumped and rinsed with water ( to get all the bits of litter out) but NOT soap. You want it to smell like he has peed there before. That will help him go in the shredded papers.
