ummmmm this stray cat had 2 kittens outside and we took them in like right after they were born, so weve had them since day 1... but one of the kittens died a few days later, we dont know why though =( we think the moma cat layed on it on accident

ANYWAYS

the other kitten, its super cute n stuff but i think something is wrong with it....

is it posible for kittens to have seizures? if so what would it look like?

.... u kno how when cats sleep they twitch? and look funny =)

well.... sometimes ill be holding the kitten and it wil be FINE just rolling around in my hands and trying to bite on my fingers and just being the cutest little kitten ever!.... then it will just stop and lay still for a sec and then start twitching like as if it was sleeping

but it was JUST AWAKE less then a second ago...

and also, it doesnt wake up,.... when it starts doing the twitching thing, it doesnt stop when u move it around or lay it down or pet it or anything, it just keeps acting lyk its asleep and twitching

i personally have never seen a kitten do that before and im just worried about it, i was planning on keeping it but now im scared there might be something wrong with it

  1. My cat does the same thing. I guess it is normal. Does your cat have a rip in it's ear?

  2. Of course animals can have seizures. Epilepsy is no less common in animals than it is in humans.

Get this kitten checked by a vet. She sounds epileptic, and this is something that needs to be controlled, otherwise one day she may start seizuring and not stop.

  3. Don't worry to much yet dear. Though it is possible for cats to have such troubles it is not likely that you will be able to identify it on such a young animal. Growing up I raised many stray and abandoned kittens. I fed them by bottle, stimulated their bowels, kept them warm, and every little unimaginable thing. Their manor isms did nerve me a little at times however fidgeting and being fussy is all in a kittens behavior. If you are very concerned I recommend you look toward professional advice. Try to contact your local ASPCA or call your local vet for guidance.

If this kitten passes away on you do not feel terrible. It could have been the runt of the litter or is just possibly having health issues. The immortality rate of animals such as cats at a young is higher than humans thus why they are born in many multiples.

I hope this was a little help. Hang in there and good luck. You just trying to help this cat is more than most people do. <3

  4. I don't know what exactly is happening, but it does sound like epilepsy. Take the kitten to your Vets as soon as possible.

We've had a cat that had fits when young - it can be treated & they usually grow out of it.

Hopefully all will be well & you'll keep your lovely kitten. ^-^
