Kitty using toilet paper?

Question

i have never hear or read of this but my 9 month old cat keeps taking toilet paper or Kleenex. Takes it to his water bowl then he dunks it fishes it out licks it maybe twice and the leaves it. it leaves a big mess and i was wondering if it is common or not or even if i should be concerned? any explanation is welcome.

This is very common. Kitties like to make a huge mess because it's tons of fun! To protect your toilet paper try keeping it in the cabinet under your sink in the bathroom, somewhere reachable when you need it. There's not really a way to prevent the water bowl spilling, so make sure you refill it at least twice a day to keep your cat hydrated. Good luck!

my cat does the same thing but with toy mice or dead bugs or her food. its one of those things where they do it just besause. its completely normal. don't worry.
