  1. Most of the time amounts and times are on the bags of food.  If you don't have the bag just give him a bowl full and see how much he eats.  Mine get fed in the AM and again before I go to bed.  He'll put you on a schedule that works for him.

  2. Buy specially formulated kitten food.  Read the instructions on the package.  Give him milk up until he is 6 months old and then switch over to fresh water.  Most pet shops can give good advice on their products.  Don't hesitate to ask your vet also..that's what you are paying him/her for when you take your kitten in for checkups.

  3. Please do not feed him any dairy products it will upset his digestion system and probably give him diahrria. 12 week old kittens should be eating solid food unless there is something wrong. Try kitten canned food and kitten dry food and he'll go to the one he likes the best.

The food I use is either Felidae, Wellness, or Innova. They are really good foods.  Learn to become an ingredient reader so you'll know exactly what you are feeding your kitten.

Again, no milk, no cheese.  Also, stay away from meat by-products, it could be almost anything from any animal.

                                                                   Good Luck

  4. I myself prefer Purina Kitten Chow & the kittens just love it. You should feed then a small handfuls (less than 1/2 cup) 3 times a day & if you want to give them a little milk as a treat, thats ok too. Also make sure you get kitty all her kitten shots. Good luck & enjoy this little one.

  5. Please feed your kitten food that is meant to be fed to a cat - not tuna, not milk, not turkey or other things that other posters have suggested.  A growing kitten needs the nutrients found in cat food, especially taurine, which is lacking in human foods.  At his age he no longer needs milk of any kind.  Try giving him canned food twice a day, a few spoonfulls to start with, and see how much he eats.  During the day put down a bowl of dry food for him.  Kittens are actively growing, and can eat an enourmous amount of food.  Don't be alarmed - he won't over eat.  Good luck with your new baby!

  6. I don't think he is ready for food now,I think you should just give him milk for now.If I could see a picture I would be better to explain. So I could see his size.JUST milk and water.

  7. Listen i have had cats all my life....the kitty needs milk for now...then when kitty gets stronger you then can feed kitty food....kitty`s teeth are not strong enough yet.

  8. milk and cheese. maybe tuna, but tuna has mercury. safest option is milk, cheese, and turkey. hope this helps! :)

  9. supercud is alll right about everything

  10. Feed him kitten food, I would start with Cat & Kitten formula canned food from Felidae which is soft meat with many nutrients, until he is able to chew kibble.

    Meanwhile,

Learn everything about brands and what they contain in them, please no meow mix it's like feeding your cat fast food everyday.

Innova,  Felidae,  Life's Abundance are good organic foods for your cat.

Start your kitten on healthy food for a longer lifespan. And believe me you'll have alot less vet bills in the future if you feed your cat healthy food!

You might want to check out the video on life's Abundance website it's called:

  11. There should be instructions on the bag.  Just go with that for now.

  12. the kitten should just eat the food normally and on the box of food there should be a thing that says how much you should feed your cat according to weight and age. if it doesn't have that then at a pet store they might have a good measuring cup that shows how much to feed it. if not just get a small cup and use that
