Kiwi golfer Gareth Paddison makes a leap in World Ranking
If there is anyone who can realise the importance of a single shot in golf matches, it is definitely Kiwi golfer Gareth Paddison.
Earlier ranked at far-fetched 723, the golfer suddenly entered the limelight after securing victory at the Adroit Insurance Group Victorian PGA Championship, at Forest Resort held in Creswick.
The arrival of his victory was as unexpected as his surge in world ranking.
Regardless of the fact that the golfer missed six out of his nine holes, he just had to make one single shot to clinch victory. He happily made it in typical local Victorian Leighton Lyle.
On one hand, where victory provided him with a gift of six points, on the other hand, it was able to bring remarkable increase in his ranking.
The whooping surge of 232 places provided him the opportunity of settling at the 491st position. However, this is still not the best he could have settled for.
His other opponents, such as Fredrik Jacobson, Pat Perez and Justin Rose, all three of them who tied for the 13th position were each able to bag 6.125 points at the recently held Northern Trust Open.

He was further able to strengthen his position after winning the Victorian Open on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
Experts believe that upcoming events will prove whether Paddison has really been able to live up to the expectations of his audience or was it just a fluke of the day.
