The San Antonio Spurs may have not been impressed by the 26 year old but Cedric Jackson is planning to return to America again....

Cedric Jackson is returning to New Zealand to put on a Breakers jersey and get ready for the 2012 NBL season. After going through an unsuccessful trial with the San Antonio Spurs in Las Vegas, Jackson still believes that he will
one day fulfil his dream of playing in the NBA.
"I definitely can play out there in the NBA, it's just a matter of time and who is looking," Jackson said as reported by nzherald.co.nz .
While Jackson may have his eyes set to return to America, he is certainly not letting the immediate task at hand out of sight. In his rookie season with the Breakers, Jackson helped them win the ANBL Championship for the second
time running and is confident that he can help them successfully defend their title.
"Our mentality is that we want to get better than we were last year. We are a brand new team and last year is over. The guys are all excited about what we have here and we are also trying to help some of the younger guys learn
so they can take a load from us."
On his return, Jackson has shown intent to get better as he called aside assistant coach Dean Vickerman for an intense shooting – an aspect of his game which troubled him last season.
While the former Cleveland Cavaliers guard is very comfortable in his ball handling and getting to the rim, his ability to consistently shoot the ball has been one drawback in his game. He shot the ball 25.5% from beyond the arc
which is certainly not NBA calibre and Jackson wants no part of those figures.
"I was just working on areas I can improve, I'm always making new goals for myself and always trying to stay sharp," Jackson said.
While a return back home to America is not possible for the 26 year old at the moment, the determination still remains.  And if he continues to work with the same determination, he will certainly be one day playing in the NBA.
