Having broken his nose during the UEFA Europa League clash against AEK Larnaca on Thursday, Schalke striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Klaas-Jan-Huntelaar-c21175 could possibly miss Hannover game on Sunday. The Royal Blues sporting director Horst Heldt has also confirmed about the player’s
injured nose and hoped to see him back in training at the earliest.
The striker was a part of Huub Stevens starting XI on Thursday and unfortunately had to be taken off the field following an elbow to his face. As a result, Huntelaar was left helpless and rushed off the pitch, after Schalke had used all of their three available
substitutions.

The sporting director, on the other hand, urged the medical staff to work hard on the player’s fitness and try making him available for Schalke’s upcoming league game against Hannover.
While talking to Goal.com, Heldt further added, "Huntelaar is currently being examined. Tonight we will probably have a diagnosis. We suspect he has a nasal fracture, possibly even worse. I hope that the cheekbone is not damaged.”
He concluded his remarks by saying, "If he misses the match on Sunday [against Hannover] it would be another piece of bad news this evening [in addition to the disappointing draw with AEK Larnaca]."
Huntelaar’s fate will be decided later on Friday and could be replaced by Joel Matip if the Dutchmen fails to recover on time.
The Veltins Arena outfit are currently second in the Bundesliga with 21 points from 11 games and will return to the league action on Sunday, November 6, against Hannover.
