The Schalke striker will prefer to stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 despite being linked with a move to the Premier League giants at the end of this season.
The former Real Madrid striker has expressed his desire of extending his contract with the Royal Blues, and is locked in negotiations with the club.
Reports in the English media suggest that Sir Alex Ferguson is eyeing the striker as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov, who is expected to leave United at the end of the ongoing campaign. However, the Dutchman has rubbished the
claims and wants to stay at the Veltins-Arena beyond 2013.
While talking to Voetbal International, the 28-year-old mentioned:
"I know nothing of alleged interest from Manchester United. I will not even speculate, I am concentrating fully on Schalke. I'll let any offers come to me quietly and will then see what happens. This is the attitude I’ve always
had. My contract runs until the summer of 2013. If they [Schalke] want to talk, I'll gladly listen.” He added.
Huntelaar has been linked with the Red Devils on numerous occasions in the past, too, and it is believed that Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ruud-van-Nistelrooy-c31966 at Old Trafford.
However, with so many strike options available at his disposal, it is highly unlikely that the Scot will move for Huntelaar. United are rich in attacking options, as they already have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254,

Despite rejecting the interest from United, Huntelaar might be tempted to play for one of the top clubs in the world, should an opportunity come his way.
The Dutchman has been a revelation since joining the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-c30652 Gonzalez. The striker has amassed 23 goals in 40 appearances thus far.
The 28-year-old is in contention for the Golden Boot award in the 2011/12 Bundesliga season, having scored 15 league goals from 16 appearances thus far.
