aggregate. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willem-Janssen-c36846 scored the opening goal of the game in the 14th minute.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international mentioned that the first Schalke goal was crucial in the comeback as the visitors were certainly playing the better football at that moment. He hailed his side for the impressive response and is confident
of going far in the competition.
While talking to official UEFA website after the game, the former Real Madrid star further added:
“We didn't play so well in the first half. Twente were better than us. We didn't put them under enough pressure. Their goal put us under a lot of pressure but we responded to that brilliantly and got the three goals we needed,
which says a lot about this team.”
On the other hand, Huntelaar accepted that Schalke will have no easy games in the next round. He referred to Athletic Bilbao who dumped Premier League giants, Manchester United, out of the competition. The 28-year-old insisted
that all eight qualifying clubs are capable of winning the competition and no team can afford to relax.
“I saw that Athletic Bilbao put out Manchester United so we know they, for example, have some great players. There are no easy opponents now,” Huntelaar concluded.
Apart from Schalke; Athletic Bilbao, Atletico Madrid, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 have also qualified for the last-eight. The Gelsenkirchen outfit will return to action on Sunday, March
18, against FC Kaiserslautern at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.
