Klaas-Jan Huntelaar praised by Bernd Schuster and Lewis Holtby
Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been praised by former Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster and teammate Lewis Holtby following a series of sensational performances this season.
Schuster claimed that the forward has made huge strides as a player in the last one year and deserves all the accolades coming his way whereas Holtby has admitted that the Dutchman is the main force behind the club’s influential
start to the campaign.
Huntelaar has been in inspiring form since the start of the season and has scored a staggering 23 times in the 21 games he has played this season. He scored 13 times in a total of 35 games in the previous campaign and has already
surpassed that feat.
Schuster insisted that Huntelaar looks very similar to Dutch legend Marco Van Basten who also had a great international record for Netherlands. He added that Huntelaar’s movement and his shooting reminds him exactly of the former
AC Milan player and hopes that the Schalke man emulates him in all respects.
“He looks like he was cloned from Marco van Basten. The way he moves, shoots with both legs and his powerful headers, all reminds me of Van Basten,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

to the opposition’s defence and is lethal with his goal scoring ability.
