The Croatian international is ecstatic with his return to the Bundesliga and is aiming to score goals for his new side.

Klasnic added that it was in the best interest of both parties that he signed for Thomas Tuchel’s side and is looking forward to a successful return to the German league.
“There were approaches from a lot of different clubs recently and I had to sort through them all. I didn't make a rash decision, but when Mainz approached, everything happened relatively quickly,” he was quoted as saying in an
interview.
The attacker added that he knows the way Mainz play and admitted that he would settle in well in the attacking style Tuchel plays. He stated that he had achieved success with Werder Bremen also in the past and wants to emulate
his form with the O-Fives.
“When I was at Bremen we also played attacking football and it worked well. The more we attack, the better,” he continued.
The former Bolton Wanderers man is ecstatic on returning to the Bundesliga and admitted that he wanted a return.
“I think if you've ever played in the Bundesliga, you want return at some point. Now it's happened for me and I'm very happy,” he concluded.
Ivan Klasnic has thus far made 151 league appearances for Werder Bremen in his previous stint in the Bundesliga and scored 49 goals in the process. The player has the potential to shine for FSV Mainz and also has the experience
of playing in Germany.
