The former Bayern Munich manager suggested that Die Borussen will have to change their game play in the continental format if they want to achieve success, and feels that they can go past the group stages.

style and compete with more determinations in Europe’s Premier competition.

or break their Euro dream. The BVB team will have to work hard and get results from their very first game.
"As for Dortmund, they have to realise that the Champions League is something completely different than the Bundesliga,” he stated.
The German outfit cannot be complacent and will be cautious over their opening game with Dutch side Ajax. Real Madrid and Manchester City are also placed in their group and will pose a serious threat to their European ambition.
The group is really tough this time around and any two teams can qualify for the knockout round.
"There are only six group games. It is going to be different when you're chasing right from the start. But Dortmund are in such a spectacular and even group that anything can happen,” he mused.
Klinsmann further added that the key thing in the tournament is to have the right amount of balance and be on top form in the deciding moments. Clubs cannot be below par in such massive games against world class teams.
"The most important thing in the Champions League is that you hit top form at the right moment. They key is to make sure your lesser performances do not occur when there are important Champions League encounters," he finally concluded.
Borussia Dortmund will take on Eredivisie giants’ Ajax in their Champions League opener on Tuesday, and Manchester City will play the mighty Real Madrid.
