has said that he is considering American citizenship in the coming years. The German national has been in the North American country for a few years now and was appointed team trainer of the national team in 2011.
The 48-year-old is a very experienced manager as he previously coached Die Nationalelf for two years and then spent a season in charge of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. He helped German national side to a third-place finish in
the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The former Bayern Munich and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AS-Monaco-FC-c38466 star claimed that the chance of switching nationality is realistic. However, he admitted that he is not eligible to apply for it yet and said that it is a very strenuous process. He further
added that football is not even the most followed game in the region.
"It is quite possible that in the future I will take American nationality. It would take a long time for it to be possible and it is a lengthy process," he was quoted as saying in an interview.

"Football is not the top sport here. We may have improved and caught up with other sports, but I can still live relatively anonymously," the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and Tottenham Hotspur striker added.
The 1994 'German Footballer of the Year' stated that the sport’s popularity has risen in the last few years and can now be placed alongside other games, but he is not a famous figure in the country as few people recognise him.

Klinsmann is looking forward to his side’s clash with Germany in May, as he wants to display that his team has improved a lot since he has taken over the reins. He conceded that it will be a perfect opportunity for him to show
