Klitschko manager ready to pencil in next fight
Bernd Boente told the Golzka paper today that his undefeatable force Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs) will put his titles on the line on 11 December.  Klitschko returned to the ring Saturday in Frankfurt, Germany, where he made an impressive show of challenger Samuel Peter by knocking him out in the 10th round.  He is the unified IBF/WBO/IBO and Ring Magazine Heavyweight champion.
Boente is currently in negotiations with the German television network RTL to broadcast Klitschko’s next fight on the December date.  His opponent will be a top ten heavyweight.
Boente confirmed that several fighters will be considered, but that Olympic gold medalist Alexander Povetkin will not be one of them.  The news suggests that Klitschko’s camp remains frustrated with Povetkin, who was initially slated to fight Klitschko on the Peter date.  The young Russian prospect refused to sign a contract for a prospective fight after his trainer Teddy Atlas said he was not ready.
Some other contenders that will be considered include Denis Boytsov, Tomasz Adamek, David Tua and Odlanier Solis.  As in all cases, an opponent will be determined by availability and the amount of money being demanded by his side.
Many would appreciate a bout between Klitschko and Adamek (42-1, 27 KOs), who recently came up to the heavyweight division from cruiserweight.  Adamek is the IBF International heavyweight champion and has held a number of titles at the cruiserweight level.  He is coming off a one-sided decision over one-time contender Michael Grant.
Many consider Grant 6ft 7in a physical substitute for Klitschko 6ft 6in.
That withstanding, Boente was also visibly mum about WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, who has an upcoming 13 November bout with European heavyweight champion Audley Harrison.  Talks between the Klitschkos and Haye have come to little, despite Haye verbally assaulting the champions and saying he wants to fight.
