The Black Yellows' manager feels that no domestic side possess the number of top players in their squad than Bayern, but stressed that his team is doing well with the resources they have present at the Signal Iduna Park
Borussia Dortmund team trainer Jurgen Klopp believes that Bayern Munich’s monetary strength and squad depth makes it very difficult for his side and other teams in the league to compete with them in this regard. He said that Der
FCB are one of its kind and cannot be rivalled.
Die Roten bolstered their squad with a number of world class players in the summer transfer window, and now have enough firepower to form to equally good teams. Die Bayern thrashed Kaiserslautern 4-0 on Wednesday in the German
cup game, even though they rotated almost the whole side except for three players.
Klopp commented that not even his team, who won the German double last term, have the luxury of this nature. He claimed that the Borussians cannot afford to change eight first team players in a knockout game like their fierce rivals
did in mid-week.
"We all do not have the opportunity to change eight players like Bayern Munich just did in the DFB Pokal and still dominate the opponents," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The 45-year-old further added if he had tried something similar the result would have been quite different. Therefore, FC Hollywood dominates in this respect, but he stressed that this advantage has not really bothered them as
they beat Bayern both in league and cup last season.
"In this point, Bayern Munich are a giant step ahead of us. They also have more opportunities, we have to bite a bit more, but until now this is working fine,” the former Mainz 05 striker added.
"We don’t want to change anything. This is our philosophy, to be successful with the team we have," the 2012 'German Football Manager of the Year' finally mused.
Klopp maintained that the BVB’s strategy is to do the best with what they have. Dortmund are currently fourth in the league table, and trail Bayern by nine points.
