The Black Yellows’ trainer claims that his side wasted good goal scoring opportunities at the Signal Iduna Park, while Sebastian Kehl said that he broke his nose during the league clash.
Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp insisted that his team spurned at least three clear chances against Stuttgart, as Die Schwarzgelben were held to a 0-0 stalemate at the Westfalenstadion. Moreover, club captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Kehl-c32732
suffered a nose injury after being elbowed by a Stuttgart player.
The team trainer claimed that his side deserved to clinch three points at home, as they dominated the game. He further added that the outcome gives the feeling of a defeat more than a draw. However, he admitted that the German
team were not at their best in the game and lacked the cutting edge to put the clash past the visitors.
"We were not as efficient as we usually are and we did not play consistently today," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The manager stated that it was a tight affair but they still managed to create three open chances. He suggested that they can do nothing about the frustrating result now. He also praised the away team for their efforts to contain
the BVB attack.
"It was an intense game with three clear-cut chances for us. We have to live with this draw at home and it feels like a loss. Both teams gave all they had but we deserved to win the game,” the 2012 Bundesliga winner added.
Defensive midfielder Sebastian Kehl sustained a facial injury following a challenge with Stuttgart’s Raphael Holzhauser. The player could not play after that and was substituted. The head coach maintained that the offense was very
close to a sending-off.
"The challenge was definitely on the borderline of being a red card offence," the 2012 German Football Manager of the Year finally concluded.
Kehl revealed that he broke his nose but added that he still has a chance to play in his side’s UEFA Champions League clash against La Liga club Real Madrid on Tuesday. The midfielder has played over 200 league games for the BVB.
