The Borussia Dortmund manager has expressed his delight at the team’s display and claims that the Bayern supremo will eventually applaud his rivals.
Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, has voiced his satisfaction at this season’s display as the Borussians are on the verge of retaining the Bundesliga crown. He was talking ahead of his side’s meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach
on Saturday, April 21, at the Signal Iduna Park where a win would put the title beyond Bayern’s reach.
Klopp mentioned that the Bavarians president Uli Hoeness will eventually need to acknowledge the Borussians. He mused that Heynckes has had a lot to say about Dortmund’s capabilities but the team has already proved him wrong with
their consistent results in the Bundesliga.
The tactician enthused that Dortmund are never worried about any remarks against them and only concentrate on winning games. He now believes that the Black Yellows stand a decent chance of winning this season’s crown which will
be enough to silence Hoeness, who is never keen to admire any side apart from his own club.
While talking to SID, the 2010/11 Bundesliga winning manager further added: "There are very few things I care less about than the comments of other clubs' representatives about Dortmund. However, I believe that Hoeness will have
to take off his hat to this team's performances at some point. Hoeness is right when he says that we haven't achieved anything in Europe yet. I'll work on this."
Dortmund are currently top of the league standings with 72 points, eight points clear of second-placed Bayern Munich. They are in the driving seat and with three games remaining in the competition.
The Westfalenstadion outfit will next be in action against The Foals while the Munich giants will be in action on the same day against Werder Bremen. For Bayern to win the title, they would ideally want Dortmund to lose each of
their remaining three games.
Klopp’s men are also to play Kaiserslautern and Freiburg before the season expires next month. They will compete the Bavarian giants for the one final time next month in the final of the German Cup on May 12, in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536.
