The Black Yellows’ team trainer was surprised to hear about the speculation linking him with a move to the English Premier League in the near future
Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is shocked to hear a link-up with English posts. He claimed that he has no idea where these rumours emerged from. The talented boss has helped his club to two successive
league titles and also added the DFB-Pokal to his trophy list last season.
The manager has been hailed as a genius since Dortmund have started dominating fierce rivals Bayern Munich, who have not won a major title in the last two years. He took charge of the Borussians in 2008 and has brought immediate
success to the Signal Iduna Park.
The 45-year-old has only managed two clubs in his entire managerial career and was named 'Manager of the Year' last year and the year before that. Therefore, it was just a matter of time before he would be linked to teams from
abroad, and Premier League clubs are desperate to avail to services.
However, the former player is not willing to seek a different challenge at the moment and would like to continue coaching the BVB for some time. He suggested that it was unusual to see him being in the news to take charge of teams
like Liverpool and Chelsea.
"I believe it was strange to see my name being linked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. Jurgen Klopp, born in the Black Forest, future coach of a great English club,” the former Mainz 05 striker was quoted as saying in an interview.
“It sounds nice. The English press even suggested that I could make it, but if you look closely you will see that I would not,” the 2008 DFL-Supercup winner finally concluded.
The coach insisted that the press printed a nice headline that the Black Forest born will become a good manager of a top English side. However, he conceded that he is not looking forward to work in the Premier League for now. Klopp
is eyeing a third straight league title but faces an uphill task as Bayern Munich are on a great run.
