The Black Yellows’ team trainer was enthused after beating Shakhtar in the return leg of their clash, while Mario Gotze also appreciated his colleagues for putting in a strong performance.
Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp enjoyed a special moment following his side’s 3-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of their first round tie. The BVB have qualified for the quarter-finals of the tournament
by seeing off the Ukrainian side over the two legs in the UEFA Champions League.
The reigning German champions played top notch football during the whole match and goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jakub-Blaszczykowski-c17616 made all the difference. They reached the last eight on a 5-2 aggregate at
their home ground as the match was played at Signal Iduna Park.
The boss praised his side for putting in a quality performance, and added it is an extraordinary affair. He admitted that Shakhtar displayed after the break that they had the potential if given a chance, but the Bundesliga
club dominated majority of the game and contained their opposition’s attack.
“This is an extraordinary moment, and it feels like an extraordinary moment,” the attacking player was quoted as saying in an interview.
“We saw during the second half how strong Shakhtar can be if you let them play. But we played great for 80 minutes and did not let their offence come into the match,” the young prospect added.
On the other hand, midfielder Mario Gotze shared the view of Klopp. The young prodigy scored and assisted a goal in the midweek win. He stated that it was a great game, and they created a number of good chances.
“It was an amazing match, and we had great chances,” the star midfielder continued.
“The first two goals made us very calm, and after the third goal, we played magnificently,” the former Borussia Dortmund youth academy player finally concluded.
Gotze suggested that after the first two goals they were relaxed, but when they scored the third it was just a walk in the park. Real Madrid and Dortmund are the only teams who have progressed in the competition until now.
