The Borussia Dortmund manager has insisted that the Manchester City man will have to take a pay cut in order to join his side in the summer
There has been great speculation that Dortmund will sign Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko as a replacement to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255, who has been widely linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp claimed that the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 and Edin Dzeko are great names that come to mind as a replacement. However, he admitted that Dortmund will not offer the players the astronomical wages that their respective
clubs are offering them at the moment.
The tactician is of the belief that his club wants to add quality to the team but there will be no compromise on financial terms. Recent loan signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nuri-Sahin-c28251 also had to take a pay cut to rejoin the club that he left a few years
ago.
“He is an extraordinary forward. Falcao for example is great as well. One thing we can say about these names, but also about others: At Borussia Dortmund, everything was made regarding our conditions and salary structures. We won't
cancel this for any player in the world,” Klopp was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 boss hinted that Lewandowski could leave in the summer and admitted that his club will be looking to sign another world-class striker in his place.
“That is what he has to do by himself. If and when Robert [Lewandowski] leaves, a new forward has to accept our conditions. Then he is interesting. If anybody wants to come to us, he has to adapt financially. Then he can have real
fun, probably more than at his old club,” he concluded.
Edin Dzeko has ample experience of playing in the Bundesliga as the player scored 66 times in 111 league games that he played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881. He also won a Bundesliga title in his stint with the German outfit before he joined
City for a £27 million fee in January, 2011. The player has been an influential player with the English champions since then.
