Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park in the last few days. The striker’s stock has risen after he scored all four goals for Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg against
Real Madrid. The home side won the game 4-1 and are now favourites to progress to the final of the competition, where they can face Bayern Munich at Wembley.
Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Lewandowski will be at the club next season and brushed aside rumours that the striker will be leaving the club. Dortmund have already lost Mario Gotze, who will be joining Bayern Munich in the summer.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Lewandowski is reportedly being targeted by Bayern Munich and Manchester United. Both clubs are willing to bolster their squad in the summer transfer window.
Klopp claimed that he has not heard of any such reports and has admitted that the player will be at the club when the next season begins. He insisted that Dortmund has been doing brilliantly in the past few seasons and there is
no reason that the player will be leaving.
“My understanding is that Robert will still be here next year. The fact is that we are going very well this season. Why should we care about next year? Nobody knows what will happen next year,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Lewandowski’s agent had earlier claimed that the player has already agreed terms with another club and that he will be leaving in the summer. The Borussia Dortmund manager stated that he does not know why the player’s agent is
making such comments. He added that the Polish international is under contract with the club and he will be staying at the Signal Iduna Park.
“I cannot understand why an agent is speaking about a player that is under contract. I have many strange thoughts about all of this,” he concluded.
Dortmund will face Fortuna Dusseldorf in this weekend’s Bundesliga clash. The side will be aiming for all three points in the encounter.
