Bayern Munich downed Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final of the German Cup at Allianz Arena courtesy an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 goal in the first-half. The Reds continued their sensational form this season and are certainly in running
for a treble at the end of this season.
Jurgen Klopp was frustrated with repeated questions of Lewandowski, who will probably be leaving Dortmund at the end of the season. There have been rumours that the Polish international will be joining the Munich giants. However,
Klopp retaliated by claiming that Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben may also leave the club as they will not accept a role on the bench come next season.
“I'd be more interested in where Gomez and Robben will be playing next season. I do not think, they will take another year [on the bench] like this. Maybe that is more interesting instead of always talking about Lewandowski,” he
was quoted as saying in a post match conference.
On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Weidenfeller-c31655 claimed that his side did not create any chances in the game and the finishing was not up to the mark. He admitted that Bayern have been extremely difficult to
beat this season and there was always a chance of the home side winning, given their brilliant form this season.
However, the shot stopper stated that his side stood up and were impressive for most part of the game.
“Things did not go smoothly, our offensive game did not work fluently. There were one, or two situations, when we could have scored, but those were not big chances. Bayern are really strong this year. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 knows that and we
know that. But we stood up to them today,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund are currently in second place on the Bundesliga standings table with 43 points from the 23 games played. The defending champions are a staggering 17 points behind Jupp Heynckes’ team with just 15 games to go until
the end of the season.
