Turkish international Ilkay Gundogan is also a cause for concern.
The head coach further added that he needs to be patient. The young starlet Gotze told Klopp that he will recover from the knock in time for the clash. Gundogan also practiced yesterday after a gap of two weeks with the squad,
and looked like he would be back for the Schalke match but the manager will need to wait.
"I have to be patient," Klopp was quoted as saying in an interview.
"After [Gotze]'s 25-minute cameo on Tuesday, I received a text message from him, which said: 'My thigh will heal soon'," the 2012 German Football Manager of the Year added.

"Ilkay has trained yesterday for the first time since two weeks with the team, it actually looked quite good. Now we have to wait," the former Mainz 05 striker finally concluded.
However, Klopp conceded that his side will be looking forward to get another three points against their fiercest rivals, as they have the edge of playing in front of their own crowd and is aware of the threat posed by Schalke.
