The 34-year old Germany international, Miroslav Klose, has set his sights on playing some part in the upcoming 2014 World Cup.

After an impressive season with Bayern Munich, Mario Gomez cemented his place in Joachim Low’s starting line-up for the 2012 European Championships. The striker justified his inclusion in the team by scoring three goals in the

Gomez’s brace meant the Lazio man would not start for Germany, but Joachim Low decided to give the former 34-year old a start against a below par Greek side. Klose impressed in that game and continued where he left, the former
Werder Bremen man displayed his scoring instinct by netting a goal.

Klose revealed that he was disappointed at not making enough appearances at the European Championships, despite being a squad player the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 man was aiming to win the Euro 2012. He concedes he has to get over the double disappointment
of not winning the tournament and not being able to help his side clinch the title.
"At this point, I [was] hoping to win the European Championship. I just have to dispose of the disappointment at the European Championship,” he is quoted as saying in an interview.
Despite his age, the striker determined carry on playing for his country, and revealed he is looking forward to play some part at the 2014 World Cup.
"I will not stop; right now I think I will play two more years with the national team. One goal is already the 2014 World Cup,” he added.
He insists, his role in the World Cup depends largely on his fitness, so if he is fit enough to carry on then there is nothing that can stop him from featuring.
“But, if I stay fit and healthy, there is nothing in the way of the World Cup,"
