Klx 125 power adders?

Question

I have a 03 Klx 125 and I want to add some power to the bike to speed it up and also some suspension upgrades so it will handle better out on the trails, but I don't want to bore the motor. What should I start with and which company makes the best parts? Also can I get longer footpegs anywhere, the ones I have are 1 1/2" but I would like to have bigger ones so my feet don't slip off when I jump the bike. This is my first bike, and I have no idea where to find these parts so a web address would be appreciated.

To begin, a KLX is the trail bike in the series. The KX is the racing bike. You could get an exhaust for it, and maybe some just control accessories. Renthal handelbars are the best I think. A full exhaust will give it 3-7 more HP. You will probably feel the diffrence. I would reccommend getting a KX125, or 250f. The 250f has tons of power, and much room to add that power when you need it. Check www.Kawasaki.com for deals. Also, www.Motosport.com is a great site for parts.
