Klynch favourite for yorkshire-outdoors.co.uk Handicap
Klynch has won the best odds for the Yorkshire-Outdoors.Co.UK Handicap at Catterick in England on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will be awarded a cash prize of £4,075.
A total of 11 runners have been attracted towards the 7 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 19:10 GMT.  Their names are as follows: Madam Macie, Solar Spirit, President Lincoln, Levitate, Green Howard, Klynch, Mingun Bell, Chookie Royale, Gala Casino
Star, Rio Cobolo and Dhhamaan.
Looking at the experience of Klynch, the bookmakers have shown full faith in his abilities. His recent performances have also been good, which will encourage the punters to place the maximum number of bets on him today.
The six-year-old gelding has taken part in 62 events until now, winning seven of them. Although his strike rate is on the lower side, he has also secured the runners up spot on five occasions whereas finished third on the same number of times.
The Ruth Carr’s trainee delivered a decent result in his most recent outing, as he finished second in the end. He was not rated favourite back then, but still gave a tough time to his rivals. He could have won that race, but seemed to run out of gas as the
finish line got closer. However, his performance was not bad at all, as he lost by a marginal distance.
James Sullivan will partner Klynch in the race. The seasoned jockey has won plenty of races at this level, but he will need to work a lot more on improving his consistency. He does not have an impressive strike rate, which will discourage the bettors from
risking money in his favour.
Madam Macie, trained by David O'Meara, might also attract some attention from the punters today, as she is a quality runner. She does not have a lot of experience, but has managed to win a couple of events out of 10 attempts.
In her most recent outing, the five-year-old mare finished runner up, which shows that she is carrying good rhythm at the moment. She will be ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, who is a very good jockey and has got a good strike rate.
Chookie Royale might also manage to challenge the top two favourites for victory at Catterick today.
