  1. Arthritis of your knee. One of the eariliest symptoms is the crackling sound that you hear.

Younger and younger people seem to be getting this due to vigorous exercise earlier in life. My 14 year old nephew has signs of "early" arthritis of his knee.

You may not develop pain or real discomfort for another 10-15 years, or it may just remain as it is.

You can avoid activities that would increase pressure like: Hiking or jogging on the treadmill with a high elevation.

Glucosamine and Chondrotin are good for the joints--they help to keep them lubricated.

Fish oil also is said to help and it is much cheaper then Glucomsamine.

Arthritis is often a result of an old injury. It can also be hereditary. In older adults, it is a known as "wear and tear"

osteoarthritis. The fluid in the joints (synovial fluid) seems to lessen.

Listen to your body, if something feel uncomfortable--then don't do it. But, keep active!

  2. Mine does the same thing, and I'm a teenager. I've tried to be careful about how I walk and when I sit, sometimes it doesnt, but I have to walk really slowly, or bend down really slowly, and it still makes a little noise. You can go to the doctor to see if there is anything he/she can do...but mine has been doing it for over a year now, and hasnt stopped. =[

  3. my knee does the exact same thing ALL the time....im not sure what it is and neither is the doctor but it still does it...i think some people unfortunately just have cracky bones......try taking some kind of supplement to try and help it e.g. cod liver oil or something like that.....ask your doctor or research online. go to see your doctor if it persists and it worries you
