(i asked this Q in a dif. category but i wanted to try both)

ok. so i run everyday minus one or two days a week with XC team for conditioning. and for a 4 days my knee has been rlly bothering me. on the inside a little towards the right of my left knee. i iced it a few times and it didnt help. the wierd thing is it hurts constantly when i walk but after about 5min of running it goes away or i forget about it or somthing and i can continue running without it hurting. but then at the end of the run when i stop and walk around, go home, and just whenever im walking it hurts. i was wondering if anyone knows what i should do or what could help or any other helpful comments? and another thing, should i continue to run every day or what?

thanks in advance :-)

  1. You may have tendenitis but also if you are having sharp pains after running from just putting pressure on it, it could be a slight miniscus tear. Go see a doc if it continues.

  2. NO!!!! if you continue to run then you will get muscles spasms and it will be even worse. for a few days take some kind of pain medicine, and if it continues go see you doctor. and when you pain goes away then run again. hope this helps.

-p.s. answer this question for me, is running on a hard surface better than running on grass? thanks

  3. It sounds like you have tendinitis. Ice the knee after running.

If it continues you should see a doctor.
