i'm a 35yr old guy in very good shape. i've had a slight pain in my right knee for years but it never really hurt too much until now. i slipped on sweat on the floor which moved my knee in a weird way. its the right knee. lower inside area. i've still been playing with a bit of pain. and when i walk, its mostly ok. it doesnt appear to be serious, but after todays game,i've decided to take a break.at least a week or so. any suggestions? should i be worried of something serious? i can still walk normally and even play abit. i would think if it were serious i'd have a problem doing these things. but maybe i'm wrong. i'll go crazy if i have to stop squash!! its just certain moments that i move it where i feel something which bothers me.

  1. I have bad knee problems and I am only 13 see my knee hurts sometimes and it actually gives out and has to be set in. In your case that's not the problem. I tore a ligement the ACL one of the two ligements which cross and it hurts on the lower inside. Deffinetly don't hold back I'd go see a doctor I waited months to get mine checked out till where they finally had to exray and give me and MRI to find what was wrong all the time while in pain!... It may or may not be serious but always be safe and check with a doctor. It also my be a miniscus tear I also had pains like that sometimes those heal on there own and others they have to go in and fix with surgery.

  2. You should probably go in to see your doctor even if just to check up on it. A lot of times we get subtle hints from our bodies (especially joints) that something is happening in there that could end up way worse if we just leave it alone and don't do anything about it. If it's bad enough that it's keeping you from your sport, then you need to go in and get it checked out. The answer might be as simple as a neoprene brace during activity, but its better getting that than an entire replacement from something that was damaged and left untreated. Good luck, I hope it helped.
