Ok, I have been going to sports camp for 2 weeks and it ended 4 days ago, now my right knee hurts when i walk DOWN, like downstairs or down hill and it also hurts a bit when i go up, it cracks a lot , and hurts like kind of like in the middleish part/under my kneecap, maybe lower when i straighten my leg.i told my mom and she said that i hurt it and it will get better, she bought me an elastic knee supporter. It doesn't hurt to walk normally but like i said downhill and downstairs and a bit up hill-up stairs, this has been hurting for about 2-3 days after camp had ended. What should i do ? what might i have? and also it doesn't hurt all the time wen i straighten my leg..Will i have to wear my knee supporter when I'm better for physical activity?

thanks. I am also 13 years old, just to let you know..mabye that has something to do with it?

  1. You should get that checked out.

My Sister had knee pain a lot & didn't think it was serious & she ended up being on crutches.

    & no,you're not fat.

  2. If the knee pain persists for more than a week or so without any improvement then you may perhaps have to see a doctor.

Your weight is fine.  Your ideal weight would be 125 lbs so above 145 lbs could be regarded as overweight and below 105 lbs could be regarded as underweight.  Obese people have more knee problems than people of normal weight because of that extra load that the legs, knees and ankles have to carry.
