Knife crime?

Why is the BBC so soft? We always hear of the these stabbings but surely if somebody uses a knife this must mean malice aforethought has taken place which is murder.

Why is the BBC so soft..i.e 'a knife crime took place/ stabbing....' why not say ...' attempted murder or murder?....' instead of just 'knife crime'?

Why is the BBC so soft in their reporting?

  1. To let us know it is another stabbing. I say why don't they arrest the Parent's of these Morons as well, they are in part to blame as well as this stupid so called Labour Government and Gordon the Gnome at No 10.

Hope they come last next time.

  2. Quite right and as for this being a difficult crime to fight, it isn't.

Anyone possessing a knife in public should get five years minimum and if they use it against someone they get their hand cut off. If they kill someone, they die.

  3. It disgusting the amount of violence we've been seeing on the news it's pretty much everyday you hear someone has been stabbed now, it's out of control. I think it's stupid that the government has spent a ridiculous amount of money on posters as a campaign about knife crime showing someone with a stab wound on their hand or somethin. It's not as if someone who is carrying a weapon doesn't know what it will do to someone if they use it!

  4. Because it involves (invariably) the immigrant communities and the bbc likes to skip around the sins of this group of people.

  5. Its up to the law to decide if an attack is murder, atempted murder or self defence not the BBC.

  6. Probably because the media are responsible for influencing people to carry weapons more because they constantly brainwash certain young individuals into thinking the world is a terrible place and "EVERYONE IS CARRYING A KNIFE" - so they have to protect themselves with something.

Young people often do the opposite of what they are told.

Like in the USA, many carry guns because others do.

  7. I think anyone caught with a knife should be shot in the face.

  8. Why single out the BBC. Look at at any TV new channel or  read any newspaper and they will describe it as 'knife crime'. And probably because 'STABBED WITH A KNIFE' sounds more dramatic than 'attempted murder'.

  9. Murder implies a person did it . A knife crime implies a knife did it . Just like a gun crime . So they can ban the weapon . It is a threat to there power base . Soon when it comes down to fists they will have to admit it is people who commit crime and violence . Not a weapon .

  10. Probably controlled by the Government; A.K.A: Labour Party. They wouldn't want to seem too harsh on the people that got them their power. Let's hope a better party gets in next.

  11. Did you know that all of the stabbers are NOT WHITE???? Why wont the media report the color of the criminals? it is just telling the truth, and it warns people that people should be more cautious around non whites.

  12. they are not being soft. Its a way of telling us just how bad the knife problem is getting. If the victim was shot they would emphasise the gun aspect of the crime.
