Question:

Knife laws in GA?

I am 14 years old and I do a lot of camping and hiking. I have gotten into more serious hiking and I need a fixed blade knife. All I know about knife laws in georgia is that anything over 3'' is no longer considered a pocket knife. For my new knife I want the gerber prodigy which is a 4.8 inch fixed blade. Is there anything I need to know before I get it?

  1. you cant have one waking

  2. I hope you're not doing this alone, and there is an adult with you.  What you're looking for is a good survival knife.  There are hundreds to choose from.  Find a good manufacturer, and keep it sharp.  A dull knife is nothing more than a one fingered fork.  When your not camping, keep the knife with your camping gear.  I'm sure the Police won't be hiding behind a tree waiting to arrest you.  Here are the knife laws for all 50 states.
