Knight Legend in form for the Belle Standard – Duplicated
Six talented hounds are ready for racing over the 515 metres, The Belle Standard – Duplicated at Hove on Thursday, 30th August. Trying their chances with the £150 prize money are Whata Lovely Job, Larrikin, Aero Jet, Knight Legend, Parkwest Leo and Farloe Skywalker.
Making news lately due to staying active in the field is the five-year-old black hound, Knight Legend. He has been racing since 2010 and his performance during the last four outings of the season has shifted but not exactly to a disturbing magnitude. The dark hound landed two races and qualified as the runner-up in the remaining chances.
He was entered in the Grade A3 515 metres flat race on 21st July, 2012 at Hove after a drilling session. He missed the race by 2 ¼ lengths and took 30.70 seconds for joining the winner, Farmers Lass, who reached the other end in 30.52 seconds.
Making peace with the third position was, Lassies Legend.
The five-year-old then gave a shot to the Grade A3 515 metres flat race on 29th July, 2012 at Hove. He broke into an early pace after he raced from the sixth gate, went wide, got intruded and led for half the distance that remained. Knight Legend timed the track distance in 30.46 seconds and won by the margin of just half a length setting Droopys Paige as the runner-up.
Ballymac Maeve’s son then struck a back-to-back by bagging the Grade A2 515 metres flat race on 10th August, 2012 at Hove. As is his trick of racing fast after breaking from the trap, he soon led and concluded the track distance in 30.11 seconds with 3 ¼ lengths right under his belt.
Qualifying as the runner-up after racing for 30.37 seconds was, Liosgarbh Champ.
The Grade 2 race on 18th August, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres could have entitled him to a hat-trick but a second position timed in 30.08 seconds after missing the race by short head’s distance deprived him of the chance.
The race was won by, Roses Posh, in 30.08 seconds.
He will need to look out for competition tonight and setting into the high gear has given him races before and might work out tonight too.
