Knights Pride tipped to win The Coral.co.uk Sprint
Knights Pride is tipped to win The Coral.co.uk Sprint at Romford in England on Friday, April 20, 2012. The triumphant hound will be awarded a cash prize of £175.
The speed of all runners will be tested in the race, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 225 metres. The event is scheduled to start at 19:31 GMT and following entries are confirmed for it: Knights Pride, Hercules, West Way Ranger, Bantiss
Dermot, Trappers Corner and Pretty Chilly.
Looking at the recent performances of Knights Pride, the bookies expect him to finish on top of the table today. He is an experienced campaigner and is known for his solid starts. This will definitely encourage the bettors to place the maximum number of
bets in his favour.
The S. Cahill’s trained runner has been taking part in some trials recently, but has managed to impress one and all with his speed in them. However, there is a question mark over his form in this class.
In his previous Grade OR event, Knights Pride disappointed everyone with the inability to challenge his rivals. Despite being the favourite to win, he ended up at the bottom of the table in sixth place. He was unable to start well, thus failed to recover
in the end.
If the white and black dog manages to get a clean run today, he will definitely make life difficult for his rivals. He is the son of Razldazl Billy out of Cailin Liath and was born in July 2008.
Another hound, who likes the shorter distance races, is Hercules. His racing form does not seem to be very good at the moment, but he has impressed one and all with a couple of solo runs at Romford.
The punters will definitely risk some money in favour of Hercules, who is trained by J. Reynolds. However, he will need to push extremely hard in order to match the pace of Knights Pride.
The second favourite greyhound is the son of Killahan Phanter out of Malbay Marshall and was born in November 2009.
Other than the top two favourites, West Way Ranger and Bantiss Dermot might also manage to attract a few bets in their favour.
