Knights of the old republic

Question

Im trying to play this game and i have a vista but is says the OS required is windows 98,ME,XP or me. What do i do?

ignore it, seriously.

Ive just installed KoToR last night on my vista pc, all i did was

Obviously install the game, then got to c:program/lucas art/swkotor

find the kotor icon in here, we want to make it xp compatability mode, do you know how to do this?  

just incase, right click the icon, go to properties then compatabiilty, click on xp mode and then apply.

Run the game, a little box pops up with a few menus, we only need the one for now....settings.just knock the resoultion up to max settings for your monitor. and also the refresh rate, i think its on 60 at default, but it to the hightest that you can. leave everything else as it is.

Ignore the recommend settings button as the game does not recognise Vista as an operating system or the latest graphic cards.

So, then click on update to update the game from v1.0 to v1.3.

Thats all i did last night and the game works fine, i also added loads of mods, if you want to add some have alook here

its gotta be the best site for Kotor 1 & 2 for mods etc..

Any problems, drop me an email. ill try my best but im at work at the moment, wont be home till after 5.30pm tonight (Uk time) so i could then see what settings ive actually got and talk you through it again.

But i think all the above should work and be enough for you to get the game running.
