Knit Shirts.....To tuck your shirt or not to tuck?

Question

Unless the shirt is waaaaay long, is it necessary to tuck a knit shirt in your pants to be professional looking at work?

Knit shirt is kind of broad - if it's a standard polo shirt, then you can tuck or not tuck. If it's more like a sweater, then never tuck.

Knit shirts....to be professional at work... yes tuck!  Not any of that 1/2 tuck stuff either, why bother, that is like wearing a belt and then doing the sagging thing.. what a joke.

in my opinion half tuck looks sloppy. Tucked looks the most profession unless it is a T-shirt. Long sleeve and polos should always be tucked in.

As far as whether or not it's necessary, that depends on your companies dress code/policies.

hi, if the shirt is too long, better tack it a little bit at least 1/8 of the whole shirt, after that let it hang freely. or if you like, better not tuck it, and wear coat, the color is up to you coz i dont know your shirt color.. okey? thanks.

I think it should be tucked it to make yourself look professional, and on the other hand if you don't tuck it in, it would look like she ran outta your house really quick, so I think you should tuck it in:D! Hope this helps

if it doesnt have a collar, i dont think you should tuck it. knit shirts are pretty business casual so it's intended to be not tucked. i mean... polo shirts are also business casual but they have collars and in all the activities polo shirts are used in (golf, cricket, etc), they tuck it in.

so yeah... dont tuck. and if it's a situation where you have to look super professional, just dont wear knit shirts to begin with. but if its just a regular day at work and you're not meeting anyone really important that day, i wouldnt worry about it.
