Can someone tell me how to make a pair of fingerless gloves with 2 size 8 needles? I found a youtube video, but I don't understand the knitting 'lingo'..... Any links, people? Thanks!

  1. Well, first you should get familiar with knitting phrases.

    I think you'll find this site helpful;

    http://www.knittinghelp.com/

    They have free how to videos as well..

    If you go to www.lionbrand.com you will find a ton of free knitting patterns and last time I checked they did have fingerless glove patterns.

    They also have a tutorial section as well if you get stuck.

    Happy knitting!

  2. The easiest means to do this may be to google two needle mitten knitting patterns and work the pattern until you are about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 half inches above the thumb gusset (depends on the length of your hand) and then bind off, leaving a long tail (18 inches or so).  Work about an inch or so of thumb stitches, leaving 6 inches or so of tail and seam the seams.

  3. First, get a "knitting lingo" decoder sheet like one here:

    http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/faq-sea...

    Second, I have a pattern on my blog here:

    http://creativecarissa.blogspot.com/2006...

    Super easy.

    Good luck!
