Knitting fingerless mittens with flap?

I was wanting to knit some of those fingerless gloves with the mitten like flap. Does anyone know what they are called and/or what site i can use to find instructions for a project like that?

  2. In addition to those, there's a "for purchase" pattern called "Pop-Up Paws".  Try Googling the name, including the parentheses.

    If you Google "shooter's mittens gloves" you'll get a lot of choices as well.

  3. Try this site and then do a piece from a mitten pattern for the top of the mitten that can be attached to the fingerless gloves.
