Knitting needles on an airplane?

I know lots of people had said that they are ok, but what's the latest news?

have your knitting needles ever been taken away?

i'm looking at bringing like size six bamboo needles (they are like tooth picks obviously not a weapon!)

yes theyre allowed as long as its not metal, i was sitting next to a girl who brought them as a carry on

Just  for  courisoty I  put in    airplane  travel  restritions   and  several sites  came  up.

I travel frequently and my metal-like knitting needles have never been taken away.  I'm sure yours will be fine.  Happy travels!
